How to setup your email on ThunderbirdThese instructions show you how to configure your email account with ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design. To set up non-ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design email accounts, contact the company that has provided you with that email account Please read the following BEFORE proceeding:-
To set up your email on Thunderbird:- 1) Firstly click on the Thunderbird icon in your Mac Dock. 2) After Thunderbird has loaded, click on "Create a new account" 3) A new window will appear, when it does click on "Skip this and use my existing email" 4) Please fill in the following form with the corresponding details; Your name: Your name Email address: Your email address provided by ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design. Password: A password of your choice 5) An error will occur as followings, "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." Fill in the form below with the corresponding details; Incoming Mail Server Incoming: IMAP Server hostname: mail.ph9mail.co.uk Port: 143 SSL: None Authentication: Encrypted password Outgoing Mail Server Outgoing: SMTP Server hostname: mail.ph9mail.co.uk Port: 25 SSL: None Authentication: Normal password Username: Your email given to you by ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design. When all areas of the from as filled in with the above information, click done. 6) A new window will appear with a warning, tick the box "I understand the risks" and then click done. Your new Thunderbird account is created. Please note / disclaimer - We provide a email accounts as part of our service. These email accounts can be accessed directly using our web based email system at www.ph9mail.co.uk. You can also configure the software of your choice (such as the above) to access your email. However as this software isn`t made or provided by us we can not provide any warranty on it, or it working correctly. So these instructions are provided "as is" and as a guide.
