Copying text into the web site from Word or somewhere else
If you have pre-written some text for the website in a Word document or somewhere else on your computer and you would like to paste it into the web site, then you will need to use the ‘Paste Text button in the toolbar to paste the text rather than pasting in the normal way. This is to make sure that any formatting is cleared as formatting from Microsoft Word and other programs is not compatible with the web. To use the Paste Text feature, click the icon shown below on the toolbar: (it will look like one of the icons below) This will open up a pop up window in which you can Paste your pre-written text into by right clicking and selecting Paste. Once your pre-written text is in the pop up window click ‘ok and it will be inserted into the main text editing window. (it will look like one of the screenshots below) |
