How to setup your email on Microsoft Outlook 2010

These instructions show you how to configure your email account with ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design. To set up non-ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design email accounts, contact the company that has provided you with that email account

Please read the following BEFORE proceeding:-

  • Please make sure you follow these instructions in every detail otherwise they might not work.

  • These instructions were written for Microsoft Outlook 2010. See our other guides for different versions of Outlook

  • We are only an email service provider, and do not provide Outlook as it is made by Microsoft rather than us, so please note:-
    • We do not provide warranty on your use of Microsoft Outlook as it is not manufactured by us. These instructions are meant as a guide only
    • If you have problems with it or if it doesn't work correctly please either contact your regular IT support person (if you have one) or alternatively contact our IT Support partners Them Digital who provide computer and IT Support Services. 1) Open up Outlook 2010, it will have a logo that looks like this:



2) Once you have opened the application click on the `File` Tab in the top left hand corner.



3) At the top of the page you should see an `Add Account` Button - click this.



4) Tick the `Manually configure server settings or additional server types` option and press Next

5) Tick the `Internet E-mail` option and Press Next

6) Fill in the fields with the following information

User Information
Your name: What you would like to appear as your name in emails

Email Address: included in your welcome pack

Server Information
Account Type: IMAP

Incoming mail server: mail.ph9mail.co.uk

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.ph9mail.co.uk

Logon information
Email Address and Password: These are the credentials sent to you in your welcome pack.

If you can`t remember your login credentials please click here.

Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) should not be ticked



Click more settings and click on the `Outgoing Server` Tab. Make sure `My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is ticked. Once this is set click OK



7) Once all of this information has been entered press Next. Outlook with now attempt to test your account by logging in and sending a test email message. Once it has successfully completed close this window and click finish to complete the setup of your email account.
