Insert tables in a page
a) Creating a table

1) Click on the table icon on the toolbar

2) Hover over the boxes and select how big you want the table to be. Eg if you would like the table to have 5 rows, and 2 columns, then you would select 2 by 5 as in the screenshot below. Once you’ve highlighted how big you want the table to be, left click again

b) Adjusting the width of a cell

1) Click on the cell you’d like to change the width of.

2) Click on the red table icon on the toolbar (show in the screenshot above)

3) Click on “Edit Cell”

4) Make sure that “Fixed cell width” is selected, and then input the width in the box to the right. You can specify the width in either pixels, or percentage. Eg if you wanted the cell to be 20% of the entire table then you could put 20 in this box and choose “percent” in the drop down box

5) Click OK

c) Inserting a new row

You can insert a new row wherever you need. So this could be right at the end of the table, or somewhere in the middle between other rows.

1) Select the row next to where you’d like the new row to be inserted. For example, if you want the new row to be at the end of the table, just left click once in a cell on the last row

2) Click on the edit table icon on the toolbar, and select “Table Size”

3) To insert a new row after the row you’ve selected, click on the icon show in the screenshot above as number 2

OR

To insert a new row before the row you’ve selected, click on the icon shown in the screenshot above as number 1

d) Inserting a new column

You can insert a new column wherever you need. So this could be right at the end of the table, or somewhere in the middle between other columns.

1) Select the column next to where you’d like the new column to be inserted

2) Click on the edit table icon on the toolbar, and select “Table Size”

3) To insert a new column after the column you’ve selected, click on the icon show in the screenshot above as number 2

OR

To insert a new column before the column you’ve selected, click on the icon shown in the screenshot above as number 1

e) Changing the vertical alignment of a cell

By default the web vertically centres content in the middle of a cell. So if you have a row where the left cell has three lines, and the right cell has only one, then the content in the right cell will be vertically centred in the middle.

As you can see in the diagram below:

If you would like the content in the cell on the right to be at the top, then you can change the vertical alignment of that cell. To do this:

1) Click on the cell (eg the box shown in red on the screenshot above)

2) Click on the edit table icon on the toolbar and choose “Edit Cell”

3) Click on the “Properties” tab at the top

4) Next to “Text Alignment” select “top”

5) Click “OK”
