How do I write terms & conditions, privacy policy or delivery policy for my website?
NOTE - Any advice provided on this page is provided "as is" and without warranty as we are not solicitors or legal experts.
Having terms and conditions, a privacy policy and delivery policy helps manage customer expecations and cover you from a legal perspective.
Terms and conditions help clarify things such as your general terms of business your adherance to distance selling regulations, your returns policy etc.
A privacy policy explains what you'll do with any personal data collected.
A delivery policy explains how long you'll take to deliver an item.
By default most of our website templates come with a privacy policy page and a terms & conditions page which are linked in the footer of the page. These are editable via the Pages section of your website manager. You can also add a Delivery page to your main navigation if you sell online.
Whilst we can not write terms and conditions or privacy policies for you (we're web designers, not solicitors or legal experts), we'd love to point you in the right direction. Here's some links to some templates online, terms generators, or solicitors who specialise in this area.
