How do I link to another item from within a product description?
If you've photographed more than one item together (for example, a mirror sitting above a sideboard, or a vase styled on top of a cabinet), you can link to those other items directly from within your item's description.
This means anyone reading about the sideboard can click straight through to the mirror or vase shown in the same photo, giving you extra chances of a sale from a single photograph.
Before you start
Make sure the other item (the one you want to link to) is already added to your website and has its own item page. You'll need its web address (URL) to complete the steps below.

How to add the link
1. Go to your web site manager and open the item you want to edit (the one whose description you're adding a link to).
2. Click into the description text box, and type the sentence you want to use to mention the other item, for example:
"Also shown in this photograph is this gilt mirror and this hand painted vase, both also available to buy."
3. Highlight the words you want to turn into a link (so in the example above, you'd highlight "19th century gilt mirror").

4. With the text highlighted, click the "Insert Link" button in your text editor toolbar.

5. Paste in the web address of the mirror's item page, then click OK/Insert.

6. Repeat steps 3–5 for any other items shown in the photo (in our example, the vase too).
7. Save/update your item as you normally would.
Give it a check
Once saved, view the item on your live website and click the links you've just added, just to double check they take you to the right place. If a link doesn't seem to be working, refresh the page first as your browser might have cached a previous version.
A couple of extra tips
- You can do this the other way round too: add a link from the mirror's description back to the sideboard. That way visitors can bounce between both items.
- This works just as well if you've styled three or four items together in one photo, just repeat the linking steps for each one.
