How to setup your email on Microsoft Outlook 2007

These instructions show you how to configure your email account with ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design. To set up non-ph9 / uporium / Antiques Web Design email accounts, contact the company that has provided you with that email account

Please read the following BEFORE proceeding:-

  • Please make sure you follow these instructions in every detail otherwise they might not work.

  • These instructions were written for Microsoft Outlook 2007. See our other guides for different versions of Outlook

  • We are only an email service provider, and do not provide Outlook as it is made by Microsoft rather than us, so please note:-
    • We do not provide warranty on your use of Microsoft Outlook as it is not manufactured by us. These instructions are meant as a guide only
    • If you have problems with it or if it doesn't work correctly please either contact your regular IT support person (if you have one) or alternatively contact our IT Support partners Them Digital who provide computer and IT Support Services. 1) Open Outlook 2007 and click "Tools" in the menu bar, then select "Account Settings."





2) In the "Account Settings" window, from the E-mail tab click on the "New" button.



3) On the bottom of the "Add New E-mail Account" make sure the box for "Manually configure server setting or additional server types" is ticked, then click "Next >".



Make sure that "Internet E-mail" is selected then click "Next >".



4) In the "Add New E-mail Account" window fill in the below setting and then select the More Settings button.

Your Name
The name that appears on the messages you send.
E-mail address
This is your e-mail address that will have been given to you in your welcome pack
Account Type
IMAP
Incoming mail server
mail.ph9mail.co.uk
Outgoing mail server
mail.ph9mail.co.uk
User Name
This is the same as your email address
Password
This will have also been given to you in your welcome pack


5) Select the Outgoing Server tab.
Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.



Click OK.

6) The "Add New E-mail Account" window should now be displayed again. Select "Next >" . Now click "Finish" on the following Congratulation window.


Your E-mail account should now be successfully setup. Your new mail will be shown in the left side panel under the "Inbox" folder.
